This trap is ideal for very wary pests such as rats. Place it along a wall where rats might move. With both guillotine doors open the rat will run right through, but then get trapped when doors drop simultaneously.
In general use, if placed correctly, does not even need bait.
Note: these traps are best used without bait.
To use, place trap in likely place - a hole in a fence, or similar. The animal to be trapped can see a clear path right through the trap. The mesh floor of the trap allows grass or vegetation to grow up through, thus disguising the trap.
The top handle allows safe removal of trap with animal inside.
Trap can also be used with bait if required, but is not actually designed for this.
