Single sided or double sided striker plates are available. If your gate operates one way, then a single sided plate is perfect. If you have a gate that swing both ways then your can get a double sided plate.

Our augers are perfect for drilling clean holes through your timber posts. We have a wide variety of sizes for a multitude of uses:
Our smaller sizes are excellent for drilling holes for latches and for holes to run wire through.
The 18mm and 20mm augers provide a great fit for our gate kits.
We also provide bigger sizes which are better for drilling holes to run barb wire through your posts.
If you are purchasing an auger to install a gate kit, we recommend you use a slightly larger sized auger. For example, if you are getting a 16mm gate kit, get the 18mm auger. If you need to pull the gate kit out in the future the larger hole will make it easier. It will simply slide in and out with minimal hassle.
Important! Use your Auger Correctly. Every brand of wood auger is engineered slightly different. Its critical that the auger is used how the manufacturer intended. There are important features of these augers:
These augers have a coarse thread for faster penetration at low revs (250rpm). Let the auger do the work. All you need to do is hold the drill straight (dont try and push it through the post). If its a big post, pull the auger out occasionally to help remove the wood chips.
Each auger includes a cutting head with obtuse angles. This decreases the frequency between sharpens, minimising your downtime.

Are you looking for a strong and simple to use gate kit? Our bolt-through timber post gate kits are an quick and easy all round gate kit.
All of our gate kits are made from hot dipped galvanised steel to ensure strong and long lasting kit.
The timber post gate kit comes in two different lengths:
275mm perfect for pine posts.
400mm perfect for most other standard timber posts.
With a 16mm thread, it can be easily installed with an 18mm auger.
Adjustable Nylon Gudgeon
Do you want more control over the angle of your gate and how far away it sits from your fence post? Our gudgeon stop is fully adjustable. The top strap is also fitted with an adjustable keeper plate to keep your gate locked in nice and tight without any unwanted movement.
The nylon gudgeon itself is non-tapered except for the slight tapering at the top so you can easily push your gate on. Within the gudgeon is a metal pin for added strength.
It has been designed to be taller than most other gudgeons for extra secure.
The longer length means that it is harder to pull the bottom of the gate off.
And if you are worried about UV damage, the nylon gudgeon is designed to fit fully inside the gate where the sun cant reach it.

Do you have two or more gates that need to be secured shut? These chain latch kits bolt onto your gate and can loop around a post or another gate. Its perfect if you have a two, three or four gates meeting at a corner.
Are you tired of gates swinging shut when you are running stock through? By having your latch attached to your gate, you can swing the gate open and then latch it onto your fence. This means it wont close at the most inconvenient of times.
Smooth Front Edge
When the latch is mounted, the hook is inside the gate rather than protruding out from the gate frame. This makes it less likely that livestock will be hurt or caught when moving through the gateway.

How The Latch Works
Our galvanised bolt-on latches are available with either a hook latch or a pin latch.
The pin latch is more secure. The end of the pin is pinched to a point, which is designed to only fit one way into the latch hole. To unlatch your double gates, the pin has to be spun around to be in the correct position in order to be opened.
With the hook latch, we have designed the ring to be on its side for extra security. If the hook accidently gets bumped up, it will hit the top of the ring and fall back down. Whereas, if the ring was horizontal then it would be easier for stock to accidently unlatch it. By having the ring in a vertical position, it makes it more stock proof. The hook latch is also available as a spring hook.
