DAKEN CAT II OR III THREE SHANK SUB SOIL RIPPER (MAX 140HP) for sale
Price: $4,400
Deep ripping is most effective in sandy textured soils where plant roots need to grow deeper to access subsoil moisture.
Deep ripping is of particular benefit when it is used to break through compacted layers, allowing roots to access soil water beneath this layer.
Where root growth is impeded by hard layers, a greater amount of energy is required for roots to grow through compacted soil, therefore production is usually reduced.
After removing the compacted layer by deep ripping, plant roots can grow faster and deeper, increasing the amount water and nutrients available to the crop, resulting in improved yield.
Tips:
Ground must be moist enough to allow ripping tines to penetrate below the compacted layer.
Soil must not be too moist that the ripper tines cause smearing rather than fracturing or shattering of the compacted layer.
